THE RUGBY ADVENTURE CONTINUES !
As part of a cross curricular project on rugby and more specifically on the RWC, on November 10th, the year 7 pupils at Collège Sainte Thérèse had the wonderful opportunity to meet two players from RCV : Youenn Floch and Paga Tafili. The meeting was made possible thanks to Patrick Rocher who founded the Muzillac rugby club and is now in charge of the projects involving the RCV and the local schools.
Both Youenn and Paga wholeheartedly answered the questions carefully prepared by the pupils in English, French and Breton ! Paga spoke briefly in Wallisian, his mother tongue, which gave the pupils an additional linguistic experience.
Topics such as the values of rugby, careers, highlights and so on enabled the pupils to learn more about the job of a professional rugby player. The meeting ended with autographs and a delicious snack kindly given by Gaël Poivret, the President of the Muzillac Rugby Club. Times like these make unforgettable school memories for all the pupils concerned.
L’AVENTURE RUGBYSTIQUE SE POURSUIT !
Dans le cadre d’un projet pédagogique pluridisciplinaire sur le rugby et plus particulièrement sur la Coupe du Monde de Rugby, le 10 novembre dernier, les élèves de 6e du Collège Sainte Thérèse ont eu la belle opportunité de rencontrer deux joueurs du RCV : Youenn Floch et Paga Tafili, rencontre rendue possible grâce à Patrick Rocher, dirigeant bénévole du RCV et fondateur du RCPM.
Les deux joueurs se sont prêtés avec bonne humeur au jeu des questions préparées par les élèves en anglais, en français et en breton ! Paga s’est exprimé rapidement en wallisien, offrant ainsi aux élèves une découverte linguistique supplémentaire.
Valeurs du rugby, carrière, moments forts…autant de sujets qui ont permis aux élèves d’en apprendre davantage sur le métier de joueur de rugby professionnel. La rencontre s’est terminée par une séance de dédicaces et un goûter offert par Gaël Poivret, président du Club de Rugby du Pays Muzillacais. Un souvenir inoubliable pour tous ces collégiens.
